A 2020 American Heart Association BLS book is REQUIRED for this course. You may choose a digital or hard copy of the manual but must have one for class. (Allied Health Students do not need to purchase book but may).
The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class provides information on adult, pediatric and infant CPR, including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask. The class also covers automated external defibrillation for adults and children, foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious), special resuscitation situations, and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.
This class is required for anyone working in a hospital or healthcare setting. Students not in a healthcare setting are also welcome to take this CPR class.

All courses are scheduled as required by AHA’s regulations. This course is scheduled for 4 hours. Class run times vary based upon competence level and number of students. The course typically runs 2-3 hours. ABC and BBP cannot be completed at the same time as evening or Sunday classes.
You are required to have the current textbook for this course. If you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class, you do not need to purchase one here. You may choose any the following additional optional items:
